Several people have asked for pictures of the outside of our house. It isn't done, and has been a long time in the remodeling process, as Larry is doing the work himself, and his regular job (driving a boom truck for Walker Foundations) takes up most of his time and energy. But we have big hopes! And little by little, it's coming along.
Here's the house, in various stages of growth. As you can see, oxidation of the untreated wood takes place fairly quickly. Fortunately, this is easily taken care of with a power washer.
The last picture shows it as it was when we got it as a farmhouse and had it hauled here some 60 miles via truck.
Front and north side of house. I planted most of the flowers, and Victoria did a lot of this pretty landscaping.
Looking down on the back deck from the upper deck. The upper deck is accessed via the patio doors in our as-yet-unfinished master bedroom in the addition.
Larry working on the deck (pictures aren't necessarily in order).
Caleb helping Larry finish the big dormer on the south side of the house.
Yes, this made my hair stand up on end.
