After last week's rains, the gardens are really coming to life. I still have a lot of work to do, but everything is beginning to look better after several mornings of work outside. As I took these pictures, a Northern cardinal was singing his heart out, and at one point, a Eurasian collared dove cooed for a few seconds, too. I set the bowl of the glass birdbath right on the ground. The metal stand is not nearly sturdy enough to keep from blowing over in Nebraska winds.
