This morning I went to Kearney to deliver ten quilts to the Expo Building at the Kearney Fairgrounds for the Threads Across Nebraska Quilt Show.

The Great Platte River Road Archway Monument & Museum
The Great Platte River Road Archway Monument & Museum. Those two windows are a lot bigger than they seem. Some years ago, we sat on the sill and watched the traffic on I80 below. The windows are located in a room of the museum that depicts an old-fashioned café, circa 1950, complete with black and white checked floors and red-upholstered chairs -- and you can buy old-time root beer floats with two straws in each glass.
