Today I went to Omaha to visit my brother Loren, driving under multiple layers of clouds. The top, thin, wispy layer was moving slowly northward, while the lowest, fluffy layer was traveling southward rather quickly.

First sign of last week's tornado
I was glad to see the blossoming trees along Main Street in Bennington were not damaged.
Oft's Bed & Breakfast survived
On that distant ridgetop, houses have lost their roofs.
I could see only a small part of the tornado damage from Maple Street. However, to the north, where I knew there should be trees and houses, there was nothing. 160 homes were totally destroyed, with another 400+ having at least some damage.

The friends who bought the home where my brother used to live are keeping it so pretty. They've remodeled the interior -- and now have a little girl.
