Photos: From Creede to Lake George, Colorado

This morning Larry did some fishing at the Mountain Views lake.  While he fished, I trotted around and took pictures of our campground, Mountain Views at River's Edge RV Park.  Larry caught a couple of nice-sized trouts, a brown and a rainbow, and then we departed and headed to Lake George, Colorado.

Some of our fellow campers have some pretty fancy-schmancy ORVs!

There are numerous bronze sculptures around the campground, all very well done.

Can you see Larry waaaay over there at the end of the lake?  He has on an orange vest given him at the office; this way the campground managers can tell at a quick glance if those fishing the lake are people from the campground or not.

The bronze artist was very skilled.

My 'work station' in the camper

I spotted a white speck in this picture, zoomed in -- and discovered that waaay up there above the cliff side is a white pickup!

Wagon Wheel Gap -- a town built in 1875 as a depot; now a private residence.

Approaching Cottonwood Cove Campground

We stopped at this RV dealership to see if they might have parts for our water heater, which is on the fritz.  They didn't; it's a 1998 model, and they don't carry parts for camper appliances that old.  However, we did have an enjoyable time walking around looking at all the campers for sale.

No, the fifth-wheel was not really hitched up to this old pickup.

Saguache Cuts

And now we are at the campground in Lake George, and Larry is fixing his fish -- and they barely fit in the pan!
