This morning we watched lots of little airplanes landing and taking off from the airport near our campground. Before heading north to the Blue Mesa Reservoir, we stopped at the airport for some pictures.
This view from the front of our camper just doesn't get old.
Can you see the airplane in front of that mountain range?
He's still there...
He flew alongside the mountains through the Rio Grande Valley as far as we could see.

Many of the motels have wood-burning stoves -- with a stack of wood just outside the door.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is Blue Mesa Reservoir. Or at least it should be Blue Mesa Reservoir. All that area should be filled with water. But it's been waterless for so long, grass is growing there. In my next series of photos, you'll see that there is water in some of the reservoir, but it's alarmingly low.
