A mule doe strolled nonchalantly across the highway between us and a semi.
She flicked one ear back in a wee bit of annoyance when Larry laid on the horn.
Look at her face. "Hey, lay off the racket, wouldja?!"

The shortgrass prairies are tall after receiving recent rains.
That little calf kept trying to get up that sandy cliff, then bawling when he slid back down. On the right is his mother, bawling back periodically. "You dumb kid -- uh, calf! Follow me, where the trail is fine!"
