Here is a pillow I just finished to coordinate with The Graceful Garden quilt. I don't usually make the pillows until the quilt is done, but I wanted to do Cyber Quilters' bucket skill, which was trapunto, and decided a pillow was the perfect thing to practice on.
The stippling was done with my Bernina Artista 180 -- it's one of the decorative stitches.
I've turned the pillow and the flash on my camera every which way to try to show how the petals, leaves, and stem are stuffed (I used three layers of 80/20 cotton/poly batting), but it's somewhat difficult to see, I think.

A beautiful pillow! Beautiful trapunto.

ReplyDeleteThe author of the song, To Glorify Thee, both lyrics and music, was Astrid H. Nelson. Under the title, it reads, "Dedicated in memory of Mrs. Doris C. Aldrich, whose life glorified God. 'So now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life or by death.' Phil. 1:20."
DeleteI'm sorry that's all the information I can give you; I can find nothing about the author.
