I just changed the water on the lawn (it’s hot –
91° F with a heat index of 101° F ---- I feel sorry for my poor menfolk who are working out in
it!) ... spotted a couple of tall weeds and volunteer trees that needed to be
lopped down... and then I had to take pictures of the big fat toad (we'll name him PT – ‘Porch Toad’) that lives on our front porch: he was all
sprawled out in the top of one of the flowerpots. :-D I had to leave
my camera on the porch in the sun for about 10 minutes while I changed water
elsewhere to allow the fog on the lens to clear – you know how your glasses get
fogged up if you go from cool air into hot, humid air? Same thing happens
with camera lenses. Well, by the time I picked up the camera again, the
toad had gotten a bit leery of me traipsing around, and sat up a bit, so I
didn’t actually get him in that funny stomach-sprawl, legs all splayed
out. But he was still in the flowerpot. For a couple of shots, anyway.
