This tiny white-lined Sphinx caterpillar, about 3/8" long, was on Tabby's tail when he came in tonight. I thought it was a little piece of green yarn, plucked it off -- and discovered it was a wee caterpillar. When I took pictures, any time the lens got close, the little caterpillar would rear up and try to appear as big and threatening as possible.
I used a 90mm Tamron macro lens on a Canon t5i for these shots.
