Heading into the quilt exhibit.  There were so many quilts, they had to overlap many of them, even in this huge room.  There were white-gloved ladies wandering the room, offering to hold back overhanging quilts so that people could see those underneath, or look at the backs of quilts.

Margie Sergent's quilt.  She was the teacher's aide in my 7th-grade Home Ec class, and one of my favorite teachers.  She saw my quilt, recognized my name, and has asked me to come show her quilt group my appliqué technique and give them a trunk show September 14th.

My Graceful Garden quilt, which I made for daughter Hester and her husband Andrew.  It won Best of County at the Platte County Fair, and 2nd place in the Best of County Division at the Nebraska State Fair.

More pictures of the quilt are here.

I discovered that when one uses a flash to take a picture of a buffalo made of license plates, one gets a very bright reflection!  I had to take the highlights down to -283,478,684 (I never exaggerate) before the numbers on the plates could even be seen.

Without a flash.  Much better.  My new camera does an excellent job, even in adverse conditions, such as in the low light of dusk.
