Photos: Flood Damage South of Town

Loup River

Look how high the debris is, in the trees. Many giant trees that stood alongside the river were totally uprooted.

Flood debris all over the fences.

Some of the back walls of the garage are washed away.

Fields at Daniel's Produce Farm

This was once an intersection of country roads.

Flooded road.  Partially collapsed barn on the right.

Larry hunts in this area; but it usually isn't a swamp.

Partially collapsed barn.

Road covered in river sand, though the river is a mile away.

See the spot on this house where the siding is missing? The waterline was a bit above that mark. Look at all the debris embedded in the side porch railing. The windows are broken out, and floodwaters raged straight through that house.

Pasture now full of river sand.

To the left of that pile of rocks is the White Tail Lake neighborhood.  It is now encircled by a moat!
