Photos: Trip to Humphrey

Today I drove to Humphrey, 18 miles to our north, to fill the Jeep Commander with E-85 gas.  It's a flex-fuel vehicle, and it runs much better on E-85.  Columbus, 7 miles to our east, has no E-85 at any of its station, despite the fact that Columbus is a town with a population of 23,275 while Humphrey is a village of only 819.

After filling the Jeep, I went to the bank in Columbus... then home to fix some food for Loren... and then off to his house to deliver the food.

At the bottom of the hill is the 81/22 Junction.

Almost to Columbus

Turning onto Rte. 22 from Highway 81

And now I'm on Lost Creek Bypass, heading toward my brother Loren's house.

Pillen Family Farms new offices. This is a Nebraska-based family-owned farming operation and a leader in the pork production industry. See the pig outline at teh top middle of the building?
