Here is the Jewel Box/Log Cabin quilt Teensy was sleeping on. I made it in April of 2012. This is our winter quilt; it's made of wool, corduroy, velvet, velveteen, velour, and even a bit of heavy brushed doubleknit. I put no batting in it, since it was so heavy already; but I don't think I'll do that again. I'd like it better with batting; it would drape better, and the quilting would show up better.
And now... wanna see the funny-looking back, too? This is where I tried to use up all the rest of the wools, corduroys, and velvets in my stash. (It's not gone, but I did make serious inroads on it -- went from three large bins down to one.) This fabric was left over from the days when my sewing mostly consisted of clothing construction.
