Front yard
Three blooms on the Phalaenopsis that used to be Janice's; Loren gave it to me, thinking he'd killed it... but it came back to life again.
Snow on the back deck
Blue jay
House finch, waiting for that nasty ol' blue jay to depart
I heard the sound of geese overhead, looked up -- and there they are, heading south. The V is in a bit of a muddle at the moment, as they are changing leaders.
Zooming in reveals them to be Canada geese, though I already knew that, from the tone of their honks. The snows are higher-pitched.
Finally, the blue jay is gone, and the finches can get back to the feeding stations.
"Huh?" (Blue jay screaming in the nearby trees)
Then all the birds flew away quickly, even the blue jays. I peered out the window and found ----
Teensy, up on the deck railing.
"Who, me?"
He followed me down to my sewing room...
...and cuddled up on the chair that was obviously mean for cats. Wasn't it?
While he slept, I finished a block for my Christmas tree skirt.
