Photos: From La Junta, Colorado, to Columbus, Nebraska

Huge feed lot

We stopped in Burlington, Colorado, on the far eastern border of the state, about halfway between the north and south borders, to walk a bit and stretch our legs in the city park. The park is rocket-themed, as one of our astronauts was from this town.

It was 80° here after a cold few days in the mountains -- and all I had were long-sleeved sweaters! So we stopped at a local secondhand store, and I picked up a couple of pretty short-sleeved tops, and immediately changed into one.

I carried in our bags... put them on the bed... began unpacking them... turned around from the dresser to spot a tail and a paw sticking out of Larry's bag.  On closer inspection, I saw an amber eye peeking at me from under a pair of socks.

Teensy has obviously concluded that if he stows away in the bag, he will not again get left behind!
