This afternoon, my brother Loren, who at 79 is 22 years older than me, married Larry's mother Norma, who is also 79. They both lost their mates to cancer. Janice passed away May 30, 2014; and Lawrence passed away January 25, 2017. We are all so very happy for them.

And away they go!
We are so very, very happy for them; we love them both very dearly.
We are a wee bit confused, though.
Am I now Larry's step-aunt?
Beautiful pictures, Sarah Lynn. Does this mean you wont be cooking for Loren now?? (g) Ray and I both lost our spouses to cancers, both in 2006. My dh was only 60, his wife was 70. I had been married all my life so was not in a rush to re-connect, I kinda liked only having to answer to my dog, but Ray was persistent, probably afraid i might loose interest after a time. LOL I am so happy for them. May they care for each other and be happy!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kat! We are so happy for them... and I'm happy for you and Ray, too. Loren had been turning down my offerings of meals for the last year or so, never wanting to put someone else to trouble on his account... So I'm glad to think he'll have Norma to cook for him! I can attest to the fact that she is a mighty good cook indeed. 😋
DeleteWhat wonderful pictures! It was good to see so many smiling faces and what beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeletePS: I want to get lost in the Pastor's Office. LOOK at all those books! Yeah, I could get lost in there quite easily. :)
Congratulations to the happy couple!
Thank you, Bonni! Yes, I kept getting distracted by titles on book spines... 😄
DeleteAWESOME!
ReplyDeleteThey make a handsome couple, May the good lord bless their Union..
Wonderful photos. It's nice to have faces to go with your family. The photo of you and Larry is especially nice, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Marti! (I fixed my collar ... after the wedding was over heheh.)
DeleteThey look so happy. Such beautiful sweet pictures.
ReplyDeleteOh my Sarah Lynn, they look so happy and I am happy for them!
ReplyDeleteGod bless and keep them healthy for many years to come.

May they live long happy healthy years together. Lots of love and blessings.
ReplyDeleteDo you think someone will write their wonderful story and
your connections so that the genealogists aren't driven to distraction.

Well, if anyone plows through my journals, they could discover how who is related to whom... but it would take a lot of reading, because it's all mixed in with quilts and birds and trips for tractors! haha
DeleteCongratulations - thanks for sharing a happy time!
