Today we traveled from the Comfort Inn in Des Moines to Clinton, Illinois, where we picked up a scissor lift Larry bought. Then back to Peoria, where we stayed in the Stony Creek Inn next to Peoria Lake.

This is the high bridge in Peoria I used to watch for when I was a little girl traveling with my parents. I knew once we went under this bridge, it was only 120 miles to Shelbyville, Illinois, where my Grandma Swiney lived.
