We headed off northwest along the Palisades Reservoir for a little day excursion -- and the water pump bit the dust right at the top of the dam. Fortunately, it was mostly downhill all the way back to the campground at Alpine, we didn't have the camper with us, and we DID have extra antifreeze. We made it back in time for Larry to drop me off at the camper and then drive south to Thayne for a new water pump.
