Photos: A Dove, A Grackle, and A Robin

A mourning dove and an American robin on their nests, and a common grackle grooming his feathers. The poor mama robin's nest is right in the sun, and she had her beak open all afternoon and evening, trying to stay cool. Photos taken from the second-floor window of my quilting studio.

Poor little robin is hot.  She's been sitting there with her beak open all afternoon.
