Several oil tankers are anchored out in the Gulf of Mexico, including STAVANGER TS, a crude oil tanker built in 2017 sailing under the flag of Malta, the 2009 DEE4 ELM oil products tanker out of Singapore, and the 2002 ELKA HERCULES, an oil chemical tanker sailing under Liberia's flag.
