Memorial Day Photos

Here's that crazy robin again that thinks he should eat from the suet feeder.  When I zoomed in on my original shot, I discovered he's a young robin, with a few pin feathers still showing, along with the fading streaks on his chest.

Guuulp!  He downs another tasty bite of suet.

She's making it look pretty, isn't she?

Tabby, zonked out.  There are little onions in the pots behind him.

Look how he grabs the little blossom and holds it as he stuffs his head inside to get to the pollen.

I ran inside for my macro lens, but didn't get any terrific shots, 'cuz that was one bizzy bee!  He just wouldn't hold still, no matter how I coaxed.

I'm not fond of flies... and I rarely take a picture of one.  But you gotta admit, this one has a pretty nifty paint job, what with that dark teal metallic, huh?

Taken at an aperture of F16 with my Tamron 90mm lens on the Canon T5i.
That's too much background noise.

Now, that's better bokeh!

More shots of the clematis, this time with the macro lens.

This evening we went to Norfolk to eat supper at Culver's, known for their ButterBurgers and Fresh Frozen Custard.  The sky looked stormy, but the thunderclouds bypassed us.

After eating, we went to the Nissan dealership so Victoria could drool over her favorite little SUV, the Juke.  But look at that price tag! -- $25,092.  I think she's going to be drooling for a while.

Larry went to drool over the 370Z.  It is priced at $29,990.  And it only has 2 seats.

They peer in...

Something's funny.

They peer in again...  Victoria laughs...

Well, might as well go home...

Maybe she'd be satisfied with this, instead?
