Children could play with the duck decoys in this stream.  People had thrown coins into the water.

Larry, trying out the archery room.

Over there are the animals one aims at.  There are about a dozen different animals.  Larry got a bullseye on each one.

Doesn't he look smug and pleased with himself?

Time out for a funnel cake!  (We shared it.  They're huge.)

This little calf was only two days old.  "Who turned on all the lights??"

He was timid, but he was curious!

Mosaic Corgi and Log Cabin design of Nebraska.  It's called "Corgi Cabin".

Is this little guy a participator, or just a spectator?

Looking at the new fifth-wheeled campers.  This one had higher ceilings than I've ever seen before in a camper in my entire life.

It was huge.  My camera doesn't have a wide enough angle to give you any idea who very large this fifth-wheeler was.

The big and the little.

The silk ribbon picture I made for Lura Kay got three ribbons, won $20 from the State Fair, and a $25 gift certificate from Calico Annie's Quilt Shop.

My rug got a blue ribbon.

My tea towels won first place.

My Americana Eagle pillow won a first-place ribbon.

Quilts of Valor

Now for the quilts!

My Baskets of Lilies quilt in the center got fifth place.

Baskets of Lilies quilt.  It has now been sent to son-in-law and daughter Todd and Dorcas, for whom I made it.

This might very well have been my favorite quilt in the entire display.  It had a second-place red ribbon on it.

The Americana Eagle quilt I made for Larry got a 3rd-place ribbon.

In the middle is the Elk panel quilt I made for Jeremy.  It didn't win anything, but did have a nice note on the back of the card.  In any case, Jeremy likes it; that's the main thing.

Now to look at the vendors' displays.  They are already starting to pack them up and move them out, and there are several hours to go before the fair is officially over for the summer!  But the storm clouds are darkening, and no one wants to drive for hours and hours in bad weather, or risk their merchandise getting ruined.

Jumbo smoked turkey leg?  Yeah, believe I would!
We shared one turkey leg.  It was indeed 'jumbo', and it was delicious.
