Looking out our window... a run-down house in the middle of a tall fence with barbed wire at the top -- in the middle of a lot that is also surrounded by a tall fence with barbed wire at the top. In the middle of the lot is a picnic table. ??
Right across the street from the Days Inn -- they buy metal. Reckon that's where the van that was stolen from the parking lot three weeks ago vanished to?
A wider view of the lot catty-corner from the Inn.
There's our Jeep down there in the parking lot -- amazingly enough, still whole and intact.
Packing up
We had our bikes in our room
The room itself was nice enough. There are a refrigerator and a microwave behind the cabinet doors.
Fortunately, they supplied a baggage cart. Last night, it would hardly roll, because the tires were nearly flat. So Larry broke out his new bike tire pump and aired them up.

All around the motel, this is the general scenery.

Gateway Arch -- 630 feet high.
World's tallest arch, tallest man-made monument in the Western Hemisphere, Missouri's tallest accessible building.
Construction was completed October 28, 1965, for $13 million (equivalent to $180 million in 2013). Opened to the public on June 10, 1967. Read about it here.
The Old St. Louis County Courthouse, built in 1828.
The Arch is closed for a few weeks for renovation, so we didn't get to go up in it.

Sounds funny, here under the Interstate.

We're running parallel with the Duck River -- and we cross it often.
I so enjoy your posts. Thank you for your pictorial review, I almost feel like I'm in the Jeep with you. Some of the things you've shown, I've seen and it's like a refresher of memories. Safe travels and thanks again.
