My camera has bitten the dust. The shutter/mirror gave up
the ghost.
There are shimmering grackles at the bird feeder... bright
finches in the blossoming peach tree waiting their turn... the yellow tulips
with the pinkish-red stripes are in bloom... and Teensy is in the Big Boss
(6-wheeler), sitting in the front passenger seat right in the sunlight!
Okay, time for decisions... I could go to Nebraska
Furniture Mart’s Electronics Department, or I could get a camera from Amazon –
I’ve seen some really good deals on cameras like mine... If I get a
full-body camera, will my 70-300mm lens still work on it? Don’t know if
I can afford a full-body camera, in any case.
Time for some research, I guess! Meanwhile, *where’s
Victoria’s camera?!*
I’ve taken a lot more pictures with this camera than I
thought. Just been checking – it’s almost 140,000 pictures. I got
it new in August 2008. So it perished in a good old age, full of touching
memories, hair-raising adventures, and beautiful scenery.
Oh, and the Logitech mouse isn’t working properly, either.
Fortunately, I still have the touchpad...
Meanwhile, I have some flowers to make of silk ribbon!
A Northern cardinal waits his turn, scolding impatiently. |
Finally, the grackle leaves, and the cardinal moves in. |
Nom nom nom nom... |
Oops, the grackle is back! The cardinal skedaddles. |
Caught him in mid-blink. |
And now, the shutter fails. |
Done kaput! |
Resurrecting it would cost more than the camera is worth. Now to decide on the next course of action...
