This evening we went to
Arcadia, a little town of 311 out in the Nebraska Sandhills, to pick up ten Blue Spruce trees Larry ordered online. They are about 5 feet tall, and were selling for $60 each, which is a smashing bargain anywhere around these parts. The trees look to be excellent quality.
As usual, most of my photography is 'drive-by shooting', out a none-too-pristine windshield, whilst bouncing and jouncing down the road at 65 mph. Considering that, it appears that the stabilizer on my 100-300mm Canon lens is working hard for its room and board, don't you think?
Here's Larry putting sides on the bed of his truck, the better to haul the trees.

The watched bunny, who is not being wary enough. |

Charlie the neighbor dog, who spotted the bunny, ran after the bunny barking ferociously, and got himself yelled at by his mistress. He's still staring lustfully at the poor rabbit, who thinks he's hidden just because he's in the shadows under the cedar tree. |

Ah, well. Running after cottontails is too much trouble, if you're just going to get yourself yelled at. I'll just go find my tug toy. |

Loading the trees. Larry told me not to pick a fight with that girl. "She's tough!" he informed me. |
