Larry in Bobcat

This afternoon Larry took out the stumps in the front yard, then the last three dying trees.  He made a bit of a berm to stem water flowing through the garage when it rains, as it always does.  Then he used a big auger to make the holes for the new trees... and by then it was dark.  So the trees didn't get planted today.

Tabby, as usual, follows me around the yard.  Watch his little mouth open and shut -- I can't hear him, on account of the loader, but he's explaining that that big piece of equipment is noisy, and making him nervous.  (I know this, because I speak Cat-ese.)

A few of the little ponderosas we planted last year have survived...

as have a few of the little Blue Spruces.

The plum bushes are budding...

and the apple tree will soon be blossoming.

Gone!

The cedar tree will stay.
